Two contracts
Changing or Canceling a Reservation
Two contracts, side by side, because confusing them is how drivers get surprised. One of them is ours and costs nothing. The other is not ours and we do not pretend otherwise.
The two, side by side
| This desk | The operator | |
|---|---|---|
| Who holds it | Standrow LLC | Whoever owns the ground |
| Cost of a change | Nothing, at any notice, however many times | Theirs to set; most off airport lots charge nothing |
| Cost of a cancellation | Nothing, at any notice | Theirs to set; a no show sometimes costs something |
| Cut off | None | Theirs, and stated in every quote this desk sends |
| Money involved | None. Nothing passes through this desk | Whatever is paid at the gate |
| Who to tell | Here, if the reservation came through here | Only if the reservation did not |
Before an operator confirms
Nothing exists to cancel. A request simply stops and nobody is owed anything by anybody.
After an operator confirms
From that moment the operator's terms are live. They are not drafted at this address, not collected under, and never repeated here as a number.
What it does instead is get them before a driver commits, so that whatever is strictest about the arrangement is in front of a driver while the choice is still theirs. Every quote states where that line falls for the specific reservation being quoted.
Three ways to change something
- Telephone +1 (412) 249-3705 during Mon to Thu 7 am to 7 pm, Fri to Sun 7 am to 3 pm Eastern. The only route that works for anything happening today.
- Write to rows@sablebearings.com. Fine for anything more than a day out.
- Nothing else. There is no account to log into and no button to press, because there is no system here beyond two people and a mailbox.
Name what identifies the reservation and what is changing. Precision in, precision out.
If the flight moves
Tell this desk rather than the operator, when the reservation came through here. One message to one place beats two, and this desk holds the record of what was booked.
Inside twenty-four hours, telephone. A change that has to happen today does not survive a mailbox.
Why flexible changes is not claimed as a phrase
Flexible changes describes this end exactly: no fee, no cut off, no limit. That describes this desk's charges, which are none, and it reaches no further.
Taken as a claim, a reader would reasonably read it as covering every dollar they hand over, and most of those dollars are governed by the operator. So the claim is not among the things this site states, and the claims table treats all nine the same way.
Refunds
None arise here, because nothing was collected here. Sums that moved between a driver and an operator live inside that operator's agreement and are settled with them.
