The footing

Terms of Use

Eleven clauses over one arrangement. They bite the moment a page here is opened. Nothing on this site is signed, bought or paid for.

1. The company

Standrow LLC, trading as Standrow. A Pennsylvania limited liability company filed with the Pennsylvania Department of State, at , Pittsburgh, PA . Telephone +1 (412) 249-3705. Reservations to rows@sablebearings.com, corrections to standing@sablebearings.com.

2. Its position

An independent reservations desk. It holds space with off airport operators for the driver who asked. It owns no lot, operates none, and has no relationship with the field or with the authority that runs it.

3. Undertaken

  1. Writing a request down accurately and whole.
  2. Putting it to operators able to hold those dates.
  3. Reporting every answer word for word, with the rate and the total at the gate.
  4. Putting the operator's name in writing whenever a driver asks for it.
  5. Relaying any change to that operator the same working day, with nothing charged at this end.

4. Not undertaken

Custody of anything. No vehicle rests with this company at any point: it holds no lot, hires no attendant, operates no shuttle and insures no car. Pricing is out for the same structural reason, there being no tariff.

Equally, nothing is warranted about how an operator performs, and nothing is characterized about any operator's licenses, insurance or standing before a regulator. This company acts for the driver asking and for nobody else.

5. Carried by the operator

The ground, the gate, the shuttle, its own licenses and insurance, its own price, its own terms. From the moment a reservation is placed the parking contract runs between driver and operator, with this company outside it.

6. Money

QuestionAnswer
Does a driver pay this companyNever, at any point
Is there a card field on this siteNo, on any page
How is this company compensatedThrough its arrangement with the operator
Is there an order, a deposit, a shipment or a refund hereNone of the four can occur, so no clause covers them

7. Quotes

What operators said, at a stated time. Binding nobody, creating no obligation, and going stale. Not an offer capable of acceptance.

8. Accuracy

Kept accurate as far as effort allows, which is why standing@sablebearings.com exists. Completeness and currency are not warranted. Any fact that belongs to another party is attributed to them on the page rather than absorbed into it.

9. Copyright, running both ways

Text and photographs are the property of Standrow LLC. Quoting a line or two while naming the page requires no permission at all; reproducing a whole page, or taking a photograph, requires it in writing.

Should anybody consider material here to be theirs, standing@sablebearings.com takes the page, the passage and the work said to have been copied. The passage is pulled down first and looked at afterwards, and the reply reports what was looked at.

10. Liability

An operator holds the vehicle and answers for what happens to it. To the extent the law allows, Standrow LLC bears no liability for an operator's acts or omissions, for anything lost or damaged on an operator's ground, or for a decision taken on the strength of a quote.

None of the foregoing reaches liabilities that no one is permitted to contract out of, among them fraud, and death or personal injury arising from negligence.

11. Law, venue, amendment

The law of Pennsylvania governs, with Allegheny County as the venue. Should any single clause prove unenforceable, everything else here continues to bind. Amendments take hold on publication, and the date printed beneath each page marks the most recent one.
