What a Reservations Desk Is and Is Not

What it is

An independent reservations desk. It takes a request, puts it to off airport operators near the field, reports what they say, and holds a space with one of them on a driver's behalf.

What it is not

• Not a parking operator. Standrow LLC owns no lot, leases no lot, operates no lot and employs nobody who works on one.
• Not the airport, and not connected to it. The field is the county's and is run by its airport authority. This company has no relationship with either, is endorsed by neither, and speaks for neither.
• Not an insurer, a bailee or a security company. A vehicle in a lot is in the operator's arrangement, not this desk's.
• Not a broker of anything else. One service, one county.

Five things that follow

1. No figure of this desk's own appears anywhere. With no agreement fixing an operator's tariff, any number printed here would be invented. Pricing explains what a quote is made of instead.
2. No claim about an operator's licensing, insurance or safety. Nobody's paperwork has been read here. No license number and no policy number is printed on any page.
3. The operator is named in writing, always, whenever asked, before anything is committed. That is the useful thing a desk in this position can honestly do.
4. Nothing is charged to a driver, at any point. No page of this site has a card field.
5. Changes and cancellations cost nothing here, at any notice. What the operator's own terms say is separate and the policy says so.

When something goes wrong

Two different things can go wrong and they have two different answers.

Something about the reservation is this desk's: the wrong dates, the wrong lot, a note that did not arrive, an operator that has no record of you. Telephone +1 (412) 249-3705 during Mon to Thu 7 am to 7 pm, Fri to Sun 7 am to 3 pm Eastern and it gets sorted from this end.

Something about the parking itself is the operator's: the gate, the van, the space, the vehicle, a charge at the gate. This desk can tell you who to call and will, but it has no authority over any of it and would be pretending otherwise if it said differently.

Why say all this so plainly

Because the alternative is letting a reader assume more than is true, and an assumption made at the point of booking is discovered at five in the morning in February.
